Week 4 Thursday #4 - Now We've Really Started

Hi lovely folks and secret admirers! In the past week, creation has really gotten underway, and everyone is working hard on bringing this game to life (or just making it in time for our prototype presentation in class).
Behind the Scenes
Fanke will be joining our team and helping out with 3D modelling, particle effects and storyboarding. Everyone say hi to Fanke!
What We’ve Been Working On
- We brainstormed how the shop should look like with 2 players, and concluded it should resemble the character selection screen on Super Smash Bros Ultimate (available on Switch). I can’t believe our developers are able to turn our discussion into reality. They are wizards!
- Tim and Yukun got the 2-player controls system working
- Fanke made some storyboards with an AI tool. That’s really cool!
- Ian made rock instruments and has started putting ideas together into the OST
- Ian also planned out how to conduct weekly playtests
- Joash has moved our project management to Jira + Confluence after we ran out of blocks in our Notion team. Everyone say good job Joash!

Direction
In the next update, we hope to
- Link the different stages together, because currently, they aren’t, and the game loop is not playable
- Implement a big attack
- Prepare some questions for our alpha playtesting sessions in-person
